GATE 2025 Notification, Eligibility, Last Date, Apply Online Recently on 29th June 2024, IIT launched its official website GATE, along with which they have also shared the GATE 2025 exam date, syllabus, exam pattern, and other exam-related information, on the GATE 2025 exam dates have been decided which are 1, 2, 15, 16 February 2025. Applicants who have finished their Bachelor’s in science, technology, arts, commerce, or the humanities and are in their final year are qualified to apply for the GATE 2025 examination process. candidates can check exam patterns, dates, subject combinations, and other things on the GATE official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
According to the official notification of GATE, it will release its Application process-related official notification in August. This will be a computer-based test consisting of 30 papers and the medium of examination will be English.

GATE Eligibility 2025
Candidates who are presently pursuing the 3rd year or higher of any bachelor’s degree program or who have finished any government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities are entitled to take part in GATE 2025.
GATE Age Criteria 2025
According to the official notification of the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, no further minimum or Maximum age limit has been fixed for the students who want to appear for GATE 2025.
GATE Marking Scheme 2025
- Each question carries 1 or 2 marks.
- Negative markings will be applied to MCQ answers that are selected incorrectly.
- In 1 mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
- For a 2-mark question, the 2/3 mark will be subtracted for an incorrect answer.
- For MSQ or NAT questions, there is no deduction for incorrect answer(s).
GATE Application Fee 2025
- For Female/SC/ST/PwBD – Rs900
- All other candidates -Rs1800
Documents Required To Fill GATE Application Form 2024
According to the IIT Roorkee notification, there are the documents required to fill out the application form 2025 are
- A candidate’s photograph, signature, etc and it must be in high quality.
- Scanned copy of the certificate in PDF format for the relevant category (SC/SC).
- Scanned copy of the certificate in PDF format for the certificate of Dyslexia (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of the certificate in PDF format for the PwD (If applicable).
- Scanned copies of the necessary documents asked in the form like aadhar, phone number, PAN number, Voter ID, etc.
- The candidate’s name, birthdate, and unique photo ID number must all be on the ID. For verification, you must bring the original copy of this photo ID with you to your examination room.

- Go to the Official Website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
- Visit the home page and click on “Register here”.
- Enter the necessary required details like Email ID, phone number captcha, etc.
- Then, Fill out the Application Form.
- Upload related necessary documents, Photographs, Signatures, etc.
- Pay your online payment.
- After that enter “SUBMIT” and take a hard copy of it.
